You will also see some sights and learn about the history of Wellington.

Your journey begins with a classic chocolate treat and a scenic ride on the iconic Wellington Cable Car, followed by a peaceful stroll through the picturesque Botanical Gardens en route to your first artisan chocolate stop. Led by a passionate local guide, you’ll uncover hidden chocolate gems, meet expert chocolatiers, and discover what makes Wellington’s chocolate scene so uniquely delightful.

Perfect for foodies, curious travellers, and anyone who believes dessert is the main event, this tour offers an irresistible blend of flavour, fun, and fascinating local insight.

What to expect:

Departures – 9.30am Tuesday to Saturday                                                

• A decadent menu of chocolate tastings around Wellington
• Walking distance is moderate with around 6 stops. Not suitable for wheelchairs
• We will walk, talk and taste for 3 to 3½ hours, covering a distance of around 4kms
• Tours operate through rain, hail or shine. Please come prepared
• Minimum age 18 and a basic level of fitness is required
• Restrooms or bathrooms available throughout the experience
• Small groups of no more than 10 with a minimum of 4 for the tour to go ahead
• This tour may not be suitable for vegans, gluten free and coeliac as not all venues are able to provide gluten free options. Traces of nuts and gluten may be present in all tastings
• While the specific partners we visit will vary from time to time (depending on their opening hours) we guarantee amazing chocolates on every tour
